  JOB SUMMARY
  
  • Reports to the Coordinator/Director. Performs computerized tomography (CT) scans and procedures that require independent judgment and a high degree of precision and skill in the application of high technology computerized CT equipment. Follows protocols and procedures as directed by the radiologist and/or supervising technologist.

    Education and Experience
    
    • The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of an Associate's Degree or Professional Training via an accredited Radiography program. ARRT certification, Indiana State X-Ray License, and current CPR certification required and must be maintained. Registered in CT Scan with ARRT (required within 6 months of eligibility to maintain position). A minimum of 1 to 2 years of job-related experience is required: 1-2 years previous experience as a radiographer required. Six months CT experience preferred.

    Knowledge & Skills
    
    
    
    • Requires current registry with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
      
      
    
    
    • Requires a current license from the State.
      
      
    
    
    • Familiarity with CT equipment.
      
      
    
    
    • Familiarity with cross-section anatomy is a must.
      
      
    
    
    • Limited nursing skills and sterile techniques, including intravenous catheter administrations.

    Physical Demands
    
    • Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e. to walk/stand for prolonged periods of time, push carts/wheelchairs up to 50 pounds, to position/lift patients at a maximum of 35 pounds unassisted, over 35 pounds requires assistance, provide CPR, etc.) to perform the essential functions of the position.
