Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform materials testing and root cause failure analysis specializing in chemical, electrical, environmental and mechanical areas.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Perform testing on instrumentation and data acquisition systems; printed circuit boards and various types of sensors including pressure transducers, stain gauges, flow meters, thermocouples, power supplies, RTD's and load cells
* Produce accurate and timely routine test data with minimal supervision or guidance; perform non-routine projects or tasks with direct guidance
* Produce test reports for customers with clear and concise documentation of the details of the testing performed
* Troubleshoot testing issues for solutions, Maintain and organize equipment and instrumentation in lab workspace
* Perform other duties as assigned

CORE REQUIREMENTS:
* Under General Supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently
* Able to complete intermediate procedures
* Regular interaction with clients
* Able to troubleshoot and rework standard tests
* Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
* Comprehensive knowledge of printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly
* Able to use all standard equipment; able to accurately capture all necessary data; basic MS Office skills; basic mathematical skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* HS Diploma or GED. Technical Certification, AA or AS degree preferred.
* 2-6 Years of experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
