The primary responsibility of the Software Engineer is to assist with the development and implementation of applications that support the business and clinical needs of the organization. The position will follow approved process of the Software Development Life Cycle (requirements, analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation).
Assists in gathering requirements for Application Development.
Assists with writing software requirements specifications documents
Assists with unit and integrated testing of developed applications.
Follow approved Software Development Life Cycle and development standards.
Contribute to architectural design.
Supports existing applications.
Develop software documentation.
Assist in training end users.
Report project status to supervisor.
Job Requirements
Associate's Degree required. Degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
This is an entry level programming position, but 3-6 months of experience with application development is preferred. Intern experience can be substituted for work experience.
Experience working in a project-based application development environment - inclusive of PM and SDLC methodologies. Technical expertise in Java, Front-end technologies, Content Management Systems, Database Schema design and SQL, Web Services (SOAP and REST), and Web application servers is preferred.
