Job Purpose
CBIZ's healthcare consulting division is seeking a senior associate to provide valuation and consulting services to clients within the healthcare industry
The group provides an array of transaction consulting services to hospitals/health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, and other health-related organizations
The group also works closely with healthcare attorneys at numerous law firms as well as with internal counsel, to ensure regulatory compliance of transactions
This position will assist with various consulting projects including fair market value of compensation, business valuations, compliance reviews, transaction support, litigation support, and consulting on business strategies
This position is ideal for candidates with strong attention to detail, the ability to manage deadlines, and a strong desire to provide excellent client service in the healthcare industry
This position generally provides a steady work schedule throughout the year and promotes a healthy work-life balance
While certain project deadlines may require temporary increases in workload, the group does not work the typical "busy season"
Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities
Prepare standard working papers including financial statement analysis, physician compensation and productivity analysis, and market data comparisons
Assess year over year financial statements and business opportunities
Follow documentation standards and prepare clear, concise, and orderly working papers
Balance multiple priorities, handle client responsibilities, and deliver a high quality work product
Identify client issues and conflicts and proactively communicate solution options to the team and/or client
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with clients
Exhibit teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members
Demonstrate excellent time management skills
Coordinate projects with outsourced consultants
Perform self-review
Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of service
Perform other accounting and consulting duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
CPA certification preferred
Prior valuation or healthcare experience is preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A desire to work in the healthcare industry
Strong critical-thinking skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage workload among various projects/clients
Minimum Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business-related field
Two or more years' experience working with clients in a public accounting firm or in a healthcare organization
