SUMMARY



The Wholesale Area Operations Manager has the primary responsibility in supervising the daily operations of the wholesale location. Develop productive, profitable and achievement oriented working environment for employees. Address operational issues and concerns in a timely fashion.



Job Responsibilities: Wholesale Area Operations Manager




  • Implements and directs branch safety program and warehouse operations practices

  • Conducts annual transportation cost analyses and takes corrective actions

  • Implements inventory control procedures, including reconciling inventory accounts, coordinating inventory returns and repairs, and assisting in product cycle counting

  • Analyzes reports to identify potential operational deficiencies and take corrective actions

  • Analyzes customer feedback procedures and develops methods to improve service quality using metrics.

  • Implements and ensures consistent compliance with standard operating procedures, policies, internal audit controls, Sarbanes-Oxley controls and business management quality system requirements

  • Utilizes LEAN methodologies to develop and implement action plans to correct problem areas and optimize established levels of business performance objectives, service, productivity, and quality.

  • Contributes to preparation of branch annual budget, including forecast of capital expenditures.

  • Report any facility maintenance or repairs needed

  • EHS audits for the stores and report out of any safety incident. Safety Training to our associates. Keep OSHA Logs updated

  • Trains and Coaches Store associates on Monitoring workflow, work completed, error rates and related metrics and take corrective action.

  • Ensures procedures are observed, implemented and enforced

  • Ensures warehouse employees receive training

  • Maintains positive employee relations and morale

  • Assists in developing and documenting warehouse processes

  • Collaborate with Area Sales Managers continuously on any implementation and follow through any internal/external projects or customers

  • Assist in controlling the stores inventory, receivables, and payables to maximize bottom line performance, reduce carrying cost and satisfy customers.

  • Manages preparation of physical inventories regarding Open AP, Open PO's and Open Pick Tickets

  • Create and execute off system Procedures

  • Help Manage Warehouse Transfers


Requirements: Wholesale Area Operations Manager


Must be proficient using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) as well as Web and DOS based computer applications.



  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.

  • Must be team-oriented and have good interpersonal communication skills.

  • Must have good analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and work calmly under pressure.

  • Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be willing to travel



Qualifications: Wholesale Area Operations Manager



  • Experience in a business work environment preferred

  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  • An eye for attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional analytical skills to sift through high volumes of data and information



Education



  • High school or equivalent (Required); AA/AS degree in Business, Operations or Supply chain logistics preferred
