Primary Purpose


This position is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the repair, preventative maintenance, and improved performance of Distribution Center equipment and hardware, which may include conveyor systems, power equipment such as forklifts and pickers, rack installations and dock doors.


 


Major Responsibilities



  • Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on lift truck equipment, chargers, and batteries

  • Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors

  • Perform general building maintenance including overhead doors, lighting, dock levelers and racking

  • Cordial interactions and communications with fellow associates and managers

 


Skills



  • Operate all material handling equipment used in the facility

  • Use of power tools, hand tools and voltage meters

  • Proficient use of computers and software programs 

 


Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience

  • Experience in forklift maintenance, conveyor maintenance or a related field

  • Demonstrated regular attendance

  • Basic English language skills (both verbal and written communications)
