About the Role

As a Mutual Fund External Wholesaler you will help lead the way for financial success and wins with BOKF clients. You'll partner with Broker/Dealers, Registered Investment Advisors, Trust Companies, Banks or other assigned distribution channels to make financial dreams come true.

The Mutual Fund External Wholesaler is the expert in BOKF products inside and out. You will be a trusted advisor for our high-net-worth clients. You will add value by providing five-star client service and maximizing the long-term value of relationships in the developed portfolios. You will use your analytical skills to do complex analysis and put puzzle pieces together on all types of solutions, often thinking outside the box.

What You Can Expect

Each day will bring a variety. This is a personal home-office based position. You will be responsible for your own climate-controlled environment.

You'll work outside the office networking with Financial Advisors, making sales calls, building a client portfolio, and focusing on solutions for our clients. You'll use your consultative sales experience to createworthwhile connections with prospects and generate new business by cultivating meaningful relationships. You will use your extensive knowledge of mutual funds, managed products and the industry to guide financial decisions.

How You'll Spend Your Time


  • You will manage highly complex client relationships by applying skillful and deliberate sales processes that lead to expected product sales and profitability.

  • You will develop territory by establishing new client relationships that leads to the utilization of product offerings.

  • You will maintain a heavy travel schedule within assigned territory to conduct meetings with financial services professionals and their clients. Represent Cavanal Hill at company and industry related conferences, meetings and other special events assigned by the Director of Sales.

  • You will meet or exceed agreed upon annual sales goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.

  • You will effectively and compliantly utilize allocated company budget for business related activities only

  • SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT: Provide positive financial impact to the Financial Advisor by leveraging extensive knowledge of mutual funds, economic principles, and global capital market structures.

You're constantly taking a deeper dive, researching, dissecting, investigating, and asking the right questions to offer the right products and services. The ability to write and speak well is critical. Excellent business acumen and professionalism are what it takes.

  • DRIVE FOR RESULTS: You'll consistently maintain high levels of productivity, work with ambition, efficiency, and determination to meet and/or exceed goals.

  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Generate new business and cross-sell to existing clients to produce significant revenue for the bank.

  • GRIT: The passion and perseverance to achieve long-term and meaningful goals and stick with something, even if you don't get it on the first try.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge and skill is normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing or other related discipline with a minimum of 5 years industry experience. Preference will be given to those applicants that fulfill those essential elements and who have obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration or other related discipline or have earned a designation such as CFA, CFP, CMFC or CFS and have demonstrated a successful sales history.

A Series 7 and 66 or a Series 7, 63 and 65 are required. Will also accept a Series 6,63 and 65.
