The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Methodology Consultant, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Guiding customers on the technical, analytical, and business-oriented objectives using 3M HIS grouping software and translating complex methodologies into actionable use cases.


• Advising on appropriate data visualizations and communicate key findings to internal and external audiences.


• Collaborating with grouper applications team to support customer implementation of software, including quality assurance activities and identification and resolution of data errors.


• Providing technical, analytical, and process-driven support to clients and leading client strategy meetings.


• Utilizing and consulting on healthcare data across all claim types, with particular focus on the structure for proper use with 3M HIS patient classification methodologies.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

OR

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and eight (8) years experience in the healthcare field

• Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: consulting, data analytics, healthcare administration, payer

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with one or more of the 3M HIS patient classification tools such as 3M CRG, 3M PFP, 3M PPR, 3M PPC, 3M APR DRG, and 3M EAPG and risk adjustment concepts


• Experience with Medicare methodologies and quality measures


• Master's Degree or higher in business administration, public health, statistics, or related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas as well as flat files (.csv, .txt, etc.)


• Experience with programming and/or other statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, Python)


• Experience with healthcare claims data, reimbursement and/or coding and documentation


• Project management experience

Travel: May include up to 50% of domestic travel

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Albany, NY, Meriden, CT, Silver Spring, MD, and remote US work locations

The targeted compensation range for this position is $98,261 - $120,096. This targeted compensation range is specific to Colorado residents and can vary based on qualifications, business needs, etc. This information is being disclosed in accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay Transparency Rules.
