NOW HIRING – SCHOOL CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS: K – 5 AND 6 - 12
Community Leadership Academy and Victory Preparatory Academy MS/HS, successful, award-winning charter schools are looking for outgoing, friendly School Certified Nursing Assistants, who are experienced with COVID-19 nursing practices, to become part of our extraordinary staff.
Our ideal CLA/VPA candidate would:
Be an experienced CNA or CCMA
Work under the direct supervision of the School’s Public Health Administrator
Be Bilingual –English and Spanish
Communicate and problem solve effectively using courtesy, tact and discretion in contacts of a difficult, sensitive or specialized nature
Be self-motivated, self-directed and flexible, with good organizational and planning skills
Organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Assist in ensuring a calm and professional environment is maintained at all times
Be knowledgeable regarding current COVID-19 public health guidelines.
Be responsible for all in-service and training regarding schools' public health guidelines, practices, procedures, and protocols.
Ensure that all clinic visits, traffic, and activities are responded to in full compliance with all school public health guidelines.
Assist school Public Health Administrator to create and conduct training and in-service for all school staff regarding COVID- 19 school public health guidelines.
Report all COVID- 19 related medical concerns immediately to school Public Health Administrator and other administrative staff.
Maintain meticulous student health records, and all clinic activity records.
Communicate with parents regarding student medical concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Perform all COVID-19 specific temperature checks, and procedures and report results accordingly.
Maintain the highest level of cleanliness and disinfecting standards for the clinic environment at all times.
Maintain a professional, calm, and medically responsive demeanor in all interactions.
Translate the medical status of students to parents and families.
Provide comfort and assistance in cases of student injury or illness.
Accurately dispense student medications.
Maintain accurate records and logs of all medications dispensed.
Maintain accurate daily records of injuries, visits, including name, date, description, and actions taken.
Maintain updated student emergency cards.
Report all accidents or incidents as required.
Provide notification and maintain all immunization records as required by state regulations.
Report all communicable diseases cases as required, to administration, and also appropriate agencies.
At all times exercise appropriate and applicable universal precaution procedures.
Ensure a clean and sanitary clinic environment at all times.
Escort students as necessary, including providing assistance to students with disabilities.
Ensure and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding sensitive information of students at all times.
Maintain clinic supply inventory.
Provide timely parent contact via phone calls regarding student absences, health, injuries, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned
Salary to commensurate with education and experience
$32,000 - $40,000/annual
