Schneider Electric's West Chester, OH facility is seeking a motivated individual to serve as an Automation & Controls Engineer for the support of its paralleling switchgear.

Candidate should possess a strong level of knowledge in the design, implementation, improvement, and operation of Industrial systems utilizing PLCs.

What do you get to do in this position?


  • Support the design of ASCO equipment based on our customer's plans and specifications.
  • Work with systems involving protective relays, PLC controls and power monitoring.
  • Uses CAD tools to design the control schematics, wiring diagrams, and physical layouts
  • Provide technical assistance for PLC's, Operator Interfaces, sensor and industrial communication products.
  • Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC and Operator Interface programs.
  • Consults on application of products and solutions with end users, consultants, and contractors as well as Schneider commercial, quotes, and project execution teams.

This job might be for you if:


  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent f rom an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of Industrial Controls or Automation experience required.
  • Strong experience programming PLC's, Operator Interfaces and Human Machine interfaces.
  • Experience in the manufacture or design of electrical distribution systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills including but not limited to the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments in parallel.
  • Ability to manage and schedule multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team oriented, self-motivated, and results driven.
