This role reports into the Business PMO within Government Business Segment Critical Programs. You will be responsible to lead mid- to large-sized time limited projects across the Government Business Segment, to understand and evaluate business-specific objectives, and to drive the development, delivery and adoption of solutions to address complex business needs. This will include development and maintenance of integrated work plans, monitoring progress against goals, development and maintenance of cross-functional, matrixed relationships with business and IT, timely escalation of barriers to success along with identification of potential solutions, and providing concise and timely reporting tailored to appropriate stakeholder audiences. Projects can range in content including (but not limited to) market and clinical improvements, organizational realignment, compliance, total medical cost initiatives, new product implementation, new process and technology creation and rollout.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with IT project managers and IT teams using both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies
Utilizes established project and program methodology and standards to develop project plans for assigned projects. Where the methodology is not sufficient, creates and augments with new processes and establish best practices
Ensure business readiness and people-focused change management tasks are appropriately incorporated with clear timing and ownership spelled out.
Ensures appropriate project governance and decision-making methodology are in place and adhered to.
Ensures integrity of original business case is maintained & any adjustments are communicated & understood by all key stakeholders
Ensures the timely and quality development and distribution of all deliverables for the project.
Evaluates project status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
Mentors and trains junior PMs
Champions organization's project management methodology, tools, and techniques
Consults on project planning and management of high-risk, high-impact projects.
Resolves issues and determines contingency plans and triggers for risks. As needed, escalates issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.
Partners with matrix organizations to ensure that appropriate action is taken to identify and implement initiatives.
Develops and implements communication and reporting mechanisms to maintain sponsor engagement and promote stakeholder adoption.
Ensures appropriate use of tools to track and monitor the financial performance of assigned projects
Defines and consults on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards and surveys.

KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES:
5 years of project management work experience in related field including process management. Project Management certification preferred (i.e. PMI - PMP, CAPM, etc).
Experience with/Exposure to agile teams (SAFe etc) preferred
Experience with digital initiatives and roadmaps preferred
Experience in change management evaluation, planning and execution. ADKAR experience desired.
Six Sigma training also valued
Strong business acumen , with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new types of projects.
Proven results of building and creating new structures through the use of creativity and innovation management.
Experience, ability and willingness to share knowledge and coach individuals with varying levels of experience.
Detail oriented, with proven time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards).
Ability to deal with ambiguity, embracing change and helping others see it as an opportunity and stay focused on goals while adapting to change.
Comfortable with raising questions, issues, ideas or suggestions to co-workers at all levels across all organizations.
Excellent communication skills - verbal and written and training, along with excellent presentation skills.

Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office tools (including MS Project).
Some travel may be required (25%)
This role is Work from home (WFH) which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
