What do you get to do in this position?


  • Leads the manufacturing team and supports the Manufacturing Supervisor in planning work and executing on time delivery for our customers.

  • Actively seeks opportunities to streamline and improve all production activities across all functional teams in a collaborative manner.

  • Escalates barriers and issues immediately to the Supervisor and necessary support functions.

  • In conjunction with the Supervisor, evaluates employee performance and gives constructive feedback where needed.

  • Supports training initiatives for the manufacturing team and ensures training plans are up to date.

  • Has a safety, customer and quality first mindset. Follows all applicable environment health and safety requirements and interfaces with supporting teams where needed or where opportunities are identified.

  • Ability to work an evening shift from 2:00pm to 12:00am midnight.

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure finish goods ship on time

  • Work with operators to improve productivity

  • Utilize digital tools for data tracking and train operators on their use

  • Drive continuous communication between shifts

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety (H&S) and 5S rules throughout the sector, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.

  • Identify non-compliant situations and behaviours

  • Ensure proper appliance of the Process Quality Control Plan (PQCP)

  • Contribute or lead continuous improvement actions

  • Make sure operators are trained & validate training levels

  • Drive in real-time adjustments of staff according to the needs

  • Drive the actions to get service level, quality products, work in process & ensure productivity goals are reached

  • Synchronise support function actors on short term actions

  • Escalate any disruptions occurring during the shift according to the escalation process (H&S, quality, supply chain, maintenance)

  • Lead short interval meetings (SIM) cycle 1 according to Schneider performance system (SPS) rules, ensuring the quality of information provided to the Supervisor for SIM 2

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to effectively train operators on policies and procedures

  • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams

  • Ability to read and review work instructions/drawings

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to train, assign tasks and motivate a team to create a high-performance culture

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Motivated to learn and fully utilize new digital tools

  • High School Diploma

  • Schneider Electric manufacturing experience of 1-3 years

  • Soldering experience

  • Computer skills

  • People management experience
