Job Description:

Are you an experienced Videographer and Field Producer who wants to create live and pre-taped television segments that are fun and informative? Do you want to take an active role in setting up and creating fun, visual content that engages viewers and makes our communities stronger? WHAT YOU'LL DO:


  • Collaborate with local businesses, entertainers, and organizers to showcase upcoming community events and create fun, engaging content for KSTU morning and midday broadcasts.


  • Field produce, capture, and edit visual content for multiple platforms. Responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to bonded-cellular transmitters, ENG and SNG vehicles, video cameras, and video editing equipment. 


  • Operate and maintain live and production equipment related to content gathering.


  • Work in tandem with KSTU News and Sales employees to create and develop coverage plans.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:


  • 2+ years prior experience creating live and pre-taped television content.


  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.


  • Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and ability to provide proof of auto insurability with company required insurance limits.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:


  • Proficiency with lighting and computer-based editing.


  • Proficiency with live microwave and satellite truck operation.


  • Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, and journalistic integrity.


  • Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's web sites.


  • Able to work and meet expectations under multiple deadlines and pressure.
