Senior Android Developer (Remote) at Kforce Inc in Orlando, Florida

Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join their team for a remote position. The Senior Android Developer will work closely with the product team and partners - possibly by directly calling or emailing them - to ensure the team is taking the best approach to solving partner and product problems.

Responsibilities:

• Senior Android Developer will closely monitor technical debt and know how to balance paying back debt vs. hitting deadlines and meeting product goals


• Set the technical direction for how problems will be tackled, including architectures, libraries, and tools


• Work closely with Android engineers to design, implement, test, and fix bugs for new product features


• The Senior Android Developer will stay up to date with the latest Android updates and tools, making ongoing education and engineering best practices a priority


• Advocate for ongoing improvements to client products by leveraging new Android tools and updates


• Facilitate inter- and intra-team communication and share knowledge to better your team and the entire company


• In this role, the Senior Android Developer will track all work appropriately in JIRA and/or VSTS; Suggest new opportunities for driving organization

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in Android development and demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning of Android and related libraries


• A -big picture- attitude that facilitates contributing outside of the Android codebase when necessary (whether through sharing knowledge or through coding)


• Understands and upholds company values and demonstrates a winning attitude


• Familiarity with Retrofit, Dagger 2, RxJava 2, and React Native a plus


• Track record of delivering quality solutions to partners by collaborating across specialties and demonstrating creative problem solving


• Experience with cryptography is a plus


• Experience with the android Bluetooth stack is a plus


• Experience with interfacing with embedded devices from a mobile app is a plus
