Project Manager, Supply Chain

Goal of the Supply Chain Project Manager is to support the strategic growth initiatives of the company. This would include maintaining and intensifying as well as identifying and implementing long term partnership with customers through best in class Supply Chain Programs for the Capsules and Health Ingredients product portfolio. This position will also be responsible for setting up the ingredients flow in AMER with global and regional alignment from end to end. Additionally, this position will be identifying and implementing, with the support of other areas, value stream mapping and lean initiatives as well as any other project that can increase value or reduce cost on the supply chain continuum.

Key responsibilities:


  • Offering  / Managing Value proposition process and programs

  • Identify and capture supply chain opportunities and needs of individual customers, customer groups and/or market segments

  • Gather the VOC of pain points and feedback to translate into implementable value added programs and solutions to strength our partnership.

  • Maintain and Implement supply chain customer services and programs, such as vendor manage inventory, joined managed inventory, fiber-free packaging, consignment programs, consolidated shipments, forecast based manufacturing, …

  • Implement and communicate in a continuous basis the appropriate KPI to determine the progress and control of the strategic supply chain programs.

  • Execute the projects in close collaboration with all departments: commercial, marketing, ASR, QA, Ops and It.

  • Ingredients Flow implementation:

  • Identify the current process and map end to end the current ingredients supply chain process.

  • Set up and integrate the ingredients business into the day to day for legacy and non-legacy ingredients. This includes the supply and demand management and inventory. Generate the adequate business governance to ensure business continuity and growth.

  • Purpose and implement the required improvements and optimizations based on current pain point and opportunities.

  • Supply Chain Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, develop and implement supply chain projects to improve service, reduce cost or improve accuracy. This is not limited to trace and track, warehouse optimal location, inventory management technologies, raw materials and finished products flow.

  • Manage and provide governance for six sigma, value stream mapping and lean initiatives; including performance tracking, KPI and hand off to the proper department once project is implemented.

Key requirements:


  • BS Degree in Business, Engineering, or IT required. Masters Preferred

  • Extensive experience in supply chain management

  • Knowledge of/experience with cGMP’s for Food of Pharma

  • Statistical tool box analysis, proficient on excel

  • Capable to manage project timelines, budget and contractors/consultants.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
