The Data Science Team applies expertise in machine learning, data visualization, statistics, and computational architectures to solve hard research challenges in AI security & privacy, synthetic biology, cyber security, computational social science, code analysis, biometrics, and other areas. Responsibilities Include:

As a Senior Research Scientist, you will research and implement novel machine learning methods, apply them to challenging problem domains, and present empirical research results with the potential for real-world operational impact. You will develop, apply, and evaluate state-of-the-art acoustic, signal processing, and natural language processing techniques to solve complex cyber problems. You will work collaboratively on a multidisciplinary team alongside experts in cybersecurity, machine learning, and software development with clients that include DARPA and other government agencies. You may also contribute to technical proposals in new research areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience developing, implementing, and applying deep learning models to challenging research problems in automatic speech recognition (ASR), speaker identification, acoustic event detection, language modeling, or related tasks
• 2+ years of software development with Python and Python machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Espresso, Kaldi)
• Bachelor's degree in machine learning, CS, EE, Applied Math, Stats, or a related field, or 2+ years additional professional experience
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance and willingness to work on site in Arlington, VA

• Experience with signal processing techniques such as source localization, noise removal, channel estimation and modeling, or beamforming
• Experience building working software prototypes or strong knowledge of CS fundamentals (programming languages, operating systems, computer architecture, etc.)
• Experience generating training data for acoustic, biometric, or language-related tasks
• Graduate degree or publication record in a relevant field
• Experience communicating empirical research results in written, visual, and spoken forms to technical and non-technical audiences
