Job Description:

The Equifax Tax Services Senior Financial Analyst will provide analytical support to the Equifax Tax Service Line at Equifax. That support will include ownership of the Service Lines' Profit & Loss reporting both at the summary and detailed levels, providing read-outs to senior management, interfacing with our Senior Sales Leadership & Representatives, developing analytics on how to increase profitability or minimize losses and driving the financials for this important service offering at Equifax. In addition, this role will be responsible for shaping and refining our internal Senior Tax Consultant Metric Program and the associated Senior Tax Consultant Monthly Scorecards complete with Production and Efficiency Bonus Programs. The position will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership team responsible for the success of the Service Line.The products delivered by this Service Line at Equifax (via the Senior Tax Consultant team) typically emanate from our client's mergers and acquisition activity (but not always). Those services include taxing jurisdiction "registrations" (across multiple states) as well as services associated with exiting particular taxing jurisdictions. In addition, our clients will often avail themselves of tax avoidance strategies which may involve the movement of employees between various tax/alignment structures as well as seeking our guidance on the allowable taxing structures. "Compliance" reporting includes transfers of business, stock/asset purchases, entity conversions, and bankruptcy review. The team also performs wage base restart "look-back" audits in order to recover client overpayment of taxes. These products range from the very straightforward to the quite complex and can involve numerous taxing jurisdictions and parties. Our services are provided in a Professional Services "offering" environment at Equifax with its' own P&L. Products are tracked at the individual level to ensure both client and Equifax goals are achieved. The Senior Analyst role will be to monitor and provide valuable insights on how to "drive" the financials for this important Service Line at Equifax. Who is Equifax? What you'll do:

  • Interface with Senior Leadership to provide analysis in support of the Equifax Tax Service Line.
  • Own and "drive" the financial results of the Equifax Tax Service Line.
  • Support the efforts of the Senior Tax Consultant Team - in the spirit of continuous improvement.
  • Extract data and apply analytics to provide insight and produce meaningful "actionable" reports and execute reporting that is aligned with strategic initiatives and goals.
  • Apply new perspectives on existing solutions by analyzing data sources and historical trends.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business.
  • Solid experience in a Professional Services environment - Ex. Engineering, Accounting, Marketing or Construction experience where you contract for services by estimating the time required to complete the project. This would include monthly analysis of earned value and estimated hours/dollars to complete.
  • Experience in "exercising influence without authority" - taking the analysis and interacting with cross-functional teams to spur individuals to action - for the good of the group.
  • Ability to comprehend technical information, analyze data, draw conclusions and recommend solutions and advanced knowledge of researching and reporting software products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge of Google GSuite and Workfront a plus.
