The Continuous Improvement Coordinator works cross-functionally to implement initiatives and monitor solution effectiveness with the Ringgold organization. The position creates and facilitate a variety of Kaizen projects or workshops, interacting with all levels within the business using different approaches to guide and challenge current and future thinking to support future planning and growth along the lean journey.
Essential Functions and Activities:
Facilitating Kaizen Events (Prep, execute and sustain)
Line balancing: cycle Time Collection, Validation and Verification.
Problem Solving: Complex problems at tier 2 level
Orientation of Team Members
Training Group leaders on Daily Management, problem solving, and value stream mapping.
Communicating and coordinating with other departments on improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
Excellent in problem solving techniques (A plus: if candidate knows 5S, 5 WHY, 8 Wastes Identification, and Root Cause Analysis)
Proven track record in leading Kaizens
Strength in communication and people skills
Solid computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Education: Two- or Four-year college degree
Related Experience: 1-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting with demonstrated achievements or participation in lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives
Organizational skills with the ability to stay on task
Good analytical skills with ability to work with minimal supervision/guidance
Working alternative hours when needed according to project needs
