The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Development Manager will fundraise, develop, and steward corporate and individual relationships in the market as it pertains to the annual Gala, Kidney Walk and other social events.
He/She will report to the Director, Development and will identify new opportunities to grow portfolio engagement across all fundraising channels to increase revenue, including supporting corporate partnerships, special events, and individual giving. A successful candidate will manage multiple large-scale events, steward a portfolio of corporate and individual relationships, and work as a team player to drive growth to achieve our mission and revenue goals. This position is accountable for significant revenue targets as forecasted in the annual Plan of Work.
The ideal candidate must have proven success in fundraising, event planning, and/or sales and relationship management. Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position. Must have ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a team environment.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform project manager duties for the Gala and the Kidney Walk, including the planning, fundraising, execution, budgeting, and evaluation of these events
Manage a fundraising portfolio of donors for both Gala and Kidney Walk events
Identify new potential committee members and lead the effort to build strong relationships with event committees
Manage the Market Volunteer Program, which includes recruiting, relationship building, and training volunteers at all NKF Development events
Work closely with the local Board of Directors to further engage them and their networks
Assist the other Development Manager with planning and executing the NKF Konica Minolta Golf Classic and other events.
Create and execute fundraising strategies to grow additional revenue for NKF
Drive and influence relationships and best practices to accomplish market and region financial goals
Increase committee and community engagement and secure in-kind donations
Develop revenue projections and provide financial analysis for assigned events
Develop and steward a portfolio of relationships to provide funding for our mission (sponsorship, campaigns, event teams, grants, donations, and other partnerships)
Manage the creation, distribution and results analysis for e-blasts and e-newsletters
Create content for social media graphics (both Instagram and Facebook), eblast graphics, event collateral, etc. using Canva
Use tools to create development video assets for social media, events, stewardship, giving campaigns, mission moments, donor highlights, etc.
Oversee and manage the Third Party Events (3PE) program for the Market
Deliver high customer service to all constituents, donors, committee members, board members, and NKF staff
Demonstrate integrity, collaboration and stewardship
Performs additional duties as required
Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of non-profit, fundraising, event planning and/or sales experience preferably with a non-profit health agency
Experience working and planning high caliber social events. Walk and Gala planning experience is a plus!
Proven record of success in project management and developing corporate and individual partnerships that result in exceeding revenue targets
Proficient in using a CRM platform (i.e. Salesforce) to track constituent engagement
Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as Pardot and Canva is a plus
Experience creating short video content (via Adobe Premiere or other) is a plus, not required
Experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers
Outcome driven with ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities
Ability to lead and work independently and as a member of a team
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail is a must!
Knowledge of campaign marketing/sales concepts is a plus.
Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
Must be flexible for travel within assigned territory with reliable transportation.
