EPS & Design is seeking an Electrical Engineering Design Manager to manage and mentor young engineers, and be instrumental in the development of protection and control schemes while being 50% billable. This role will maintain and grow client relationships as well as help with quoting and growing the business. Apply today to help EPS grow our Engineering division!


  • BSEE required from an ABET-accredited university with an emphasis in power system related studies
  • Eight (8) or more years of increasing engineering experience and responsibility in protection system design and coordination of utility substations
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical substation major equipment and auxiliary systems
  • Vast experience in protection and control design for electrical substations
  • Working knowledge of load management, automated meter reading (AMR), distribution/transmission automation (SCADA) systems
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in good standing in one or more states
  • The successful candidate shall be an American citizen or possess an H1B Visa
  • Occasional travel to customer locations or remote training locations

Design Manager Breakdown:
  • Helping with quotes by adding technical input on how many hours it takes to the projects
  • Support business development
  • Mentoring of young engineers / Training and etc.
  • Recruiting and growing the business


  • Must be highly creative and analytical with the ability to think critically
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) and basic AutoCAD and/or Microstation
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both orally and written
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Project management skills a plus
