Job Description:

Westminster Communities of Florida, a nationally recognized not-for-profit faith based organization is searching for a Financial Analyst.  Founded in 1954, Westminster Communities of Florida is a national leader in senior living and dedicated to a Mission and ministry of service to older adults. We provide senior living communities offering an active lifestyle and excellent care to 7,000 residents throughout Florida. Our communities offer independent living, assisted living, nursing care, home care, pharmacy services, affordable housing for low-income seniors and more.

The Financial Analyst position is responsible for developing, interpreting, and implementing complex financial and accounting concepts\systems, or techniques.  

Specific functions of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Gathers and analyzes company financial statements; industry, regulatory and economic information.

  • Completes various financial, accounting, administrative reports and analyses.

  • Assist VP in the preparation of the annual budget for all applicable entities.

  • Participate in month-end close process including report generation and variance analysis

  • Develop and maintain balance sheet and cash flow forecasting model, reviewing results monthly in order to make continuous improvements

  • Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators. Create and maintain meaningful reports that reflect these analyses.

  • Prepare Quarterly Financial Statements and Financial Ratios for Bondholders.

  • Prepare Quarterly and Annual Office of Insurance Regulation reports.

  • Prepares reports, including charts and graphs, to illustrate trends, future payoffs, and possible risks of various development opportunities.

  • Assist with interim and annual audits

  • Continuously seek opportunities to automate and streamline processes to reduce cycle time by leveraging technological and system solutions.

We are searching for candidates who possess a Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university in accounting/finance; a minimum of 3 years in a role with accounting, problem solving, or analytical experience is required;  Certified Public Accountant, desired.

The selected candidate will be a self-starter with experience in building reports, reviewing for accuracy, planning and budgeting analysis, and delivering well-written business commentary on financial results to Finance and Operational leadership; will possess strong business acumen with understanding of functional linkages and ability to build strong professional relationships with business partners in both operational and financial roles;  will have excellent strategic, analytical, and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment; and will possess Advanced Excel skills.

Minimum starting salary is $35.08/hour.
