Job Description:

Direct Hire- Onsite role- Must be located in Austin Texas.

Hybrid work environment- 2 days remote, 3 days in North Austin Office


The Ideal Project Coordinator will partner within Technology organization is responsible for reviewing the portfolio of requests needed by our business partners, ensuring requests are accurately documented and customer needs are understood, coordinating with IT management to develop cost, schedule, resource and risk estimates to classify requests as enhancement or project effort based upon company's software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. The position will assist business partners with cost benefit analysis for the prioritization. Will work closely with the IT Development team and business partners to ensure that business, stakeholder and solution requirements are fully and accurately understood. They work with the Portfolio AVP to document and to provide accurate KPI reporting to the CIO of work requests/enhancements, pending and active projects. Facilitates communication between different business partners and IT and often plays a central role in conducting business prioritization sessions aligning the needs of business with the systems capabilities delivered by information technology.


  • Manages the Portfolio information repository; including data related to work requests, enhancements and projects.

  • Prepares the monthly work requests/enhancement report for business partner prioritization.

  • Schedules and assists in facilitating, work requests prioritization meetings with the business partners to ensure work requests and enhancement information is up to date and accurate.

  • Assists business partners with the development of cost benefit analysis for their requests.

  • Works with the IT Development Production Support team to communicate work priority, and assists with defining the prioritized work requests/enhancements into monthly sprint releases.

  • Maintains reporting, filing, record keeping, and back-up of electronic files in keeping with established procedures.

  • Attends the weekly project status meeting and documents status updates project status reports for publication.

  • Acts as second tier support for all work request tickets ensuring customers remain informed of tickets status, and that tickets are accurately categorized and tracked as either maintenance release enhancements or projects based upon the Project vs. Enhancement guidelines.

  • Ensures work request tickets are accurately documented and customer needs are well understood for the initial estimation of effort and risk.

  • Works with IT Project Managers to assist with project documentation and/or other project tasks as required.

  • Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred

  • 5+ years' experience as a Portfolio Analyst, Project Coordinator, Project Manager or other similar business related experience.

  • Insurance, Annuities or Financial Industry experience preferred.
