Position: Security Systems Manager

Job Description:

Forward Air is seeking a capable and career-oriented individual to work as a Security Systems Manager. Our Manager is responsible for handling all unidentified freight and salvage lost and unclaimed freight. This person would oversee the job duties of the OS&D investigator and Security installer.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Supervise all installations of security equipment
• Handle planning, ordering, installing of equipment for each job
• Supervise the maintenance and troubleshooting of all security equipment
• Meet with different suppliers for the newest equipment and work on getting the best pricing possible
• Work with monitoring station for any changes with users for security system for each station in the system
• Set up outside training and perform on-site training for security installers
• Other duties as assigned

• Basic knowledge of construction
• Strong understanding of security equipment
• Experience communicating and working with people (customers, employees, suppliers, ect,)
• Scissor lift and boom lift experience is required
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
• Have a Driver's License and credit card for travel purposes and expenses (Travel expenses are 100% reimbursed per company policy)
• Demonstrated ability to carry out assignment to their complete and meet deadlines

• Ideal candidate will possess a "can do" attitude with a "will do" work ethic
• Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
• Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
• Computer skills, including MS Office/Excel, AS400 functions: air-bills, manifest, customer, customer service, reports, etc.
