The Technical Service Specialist will play a part in driving growth in Patient Management by implementing software solutions for our customers. Manages the implementation of Paceart Software solutions at client sites. Partner with an applications colleague to provide customers with education and consultation services throughout the duration of the implementation. This position utilizes project management skills to manage multiple implementations at one time, ensuring everything is being performed according to a proven project plan. The Implementation Specialist must also understand the difference between their responsibilities and the client's responsibilities to separate appropriately when needed.

In addition to customer facing projects, this role will act as a representative on internal cross functional teams and provide voice of the customer feedback to the business and product development team.

A Day in the Life


  • Hold kick off call and weekly status calls with IT and clinic staff
  • Verify technical requirements have been met by clinic using established criteria
  • Schedule test migration with development team
  • Obtain copy of the database from clinic for development team
  • Install, configure and verify test environment
  • Upload migrated test database
  • Configure and test HL7 interface - including ADT, SIU, and ORU messages with customer's EMR
  • Verify database conversion accuracy with clinic
  • Install, configure and verify production environment
  • Schedule production migration with development team
  • Obtain copy of database from clinic for development team
  • Upload migrated production database
  • Enter case status and documentation for all customer interaction in Salesforce.com
  • Report customer complaints in a timely fashion in compliance with established complaint handling procedures
  • Ensure all technical components are operational and clinicians/users are trained post go-live
  • Periodic travel to customer locations (25%)

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

Nice to Have:


  • 3+ years' experience in a customer facing role in a training and education, IT, or workflow consulting experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Medtronic experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience implementing and training on software products in a healthcare, software or consulting industries
  • Field experience in Medical device industry
  • Experience with hospital system implementations with HL7 interfaces to common healthcare integration engines and working with blended teams of on-site and remote resources
  • SQL experience
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and configuring Microsoft Server, SQL, IIS, SQL Server
  • Understanding HIPAA related policies and experience adhering to compliance standards during integration implementation.
