Type: Part-Time
Works under medical supervision to perform and evaluate polysomnograms. Must possess the necessary clinical understanding, technical skills, and decision-making ability to record, monitor, and manage any patient independently and safely during an all-night recording. The technologist must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his/her age, specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s departmental policies and procedures.
Education
Associate Degree or certification equivalent
Experience
1 year Experience required
RPSGT Required or RT License
Virginia Board License required
Current CPR certification
