Position Summary

The Quality Software Engineer (QSE) works as a part of an Agile team responsible for the oversight, analysis, design, testing, and support of HCHB Interoperability product line. The Quality Engineer will create new and update existing test cases as needed in alignment with each sprint’s objectives. This includes using existing automation frameworks or creating new frameworks as needed. This process entails working closely with developer, other testers, and the ability to perform independent analysis to create thorough test plans.

Primary Tasks, Job Duties & Responsibilities


  • Participate in the design and testing of the HCHB Interoperability products.

  • Create and execute test cases.

  • 3+ Years SQL experience with relational databases (preference given to MS SQL 2014 and above)

  • 3+ Years testing REST/WebAPI services.

  • 2+ Years C# automation experience, specifically using HTTP Client, RestSharp, or other API automation scripting experience

  • Previous experience testing HL7 interfaces.

  • Master tools and technologies as needed for the test process.

  • Responsible for QA processes prior to product release to Production: testing, deploying, system configuration.

  • Prioritizes QA workload to minimize conflicts in the QA environment.

  • Familiar with JSON, XML, and flat files.

  • Experience with Postman, Swagger or SoapUI testing.

  • High level understanding of how interfaces work in the healthcare setting.

  • Works and communicates well with developers in an agile environment.

  • Experience working in an agile software development environment.


    • Preference given to those with experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).



  • Demonstrates an understanding of Home Healthcare processes and regulations.
