Analyze and interpret GD&T engineering drawings, diagrams, evaluation sheets, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, formulas, and measuring instruments required
Independently perform first article inspection, incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection on products, parts, gages, check fixtures, and record the results
Verify part dimensions against blueprint specifications using a variety of QA Metrology (i.e., micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread gages, pin gages, 3D electronic scanners, and other measuring devices)
Accurately document inspection results on the computer in various databases
Detect, process, document, and communicate with all appropriate personnel when a product does not meet specifications to resolve quality-related issues
Monitor quality requirements in accordance to quality plans and specifications
Facilitate the movement of parts through arrivals, receiving, quality inspections, inventory placement, stocking the production line, and releasing finished goods to inventory
Both physical and electronic receiving of all production-related parts and components
Maintain awareness of stock levels to identify potential issues and alert purchasing to any problems, thus preventing production downtime
Analyze and troubleshoot inventory control problems in a timely fashion
Maintain and update inventory records in ERP
Communicate with all applicable personnel for scrap, return orders and inventory adjustments
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems to be able to apply these standards throughout the process
Conduct process and QMS audits
Coordinate calibration of all test equipment and fixtures
Perform visual, cosmetic, and pre-ship protocol inspection of product
Perform other duties as required or directed by supervision
Skills / Experience:
Interpret GD&T engineering drawings, diagrams, or formulas
Advanced experience using standard precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, other measuring devices
One (1) to three (3) years of hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing facility. Knowledge and experience in tooling, fabrication, machining, assembly and inspection of gages/fixtures are preferred
Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records
Adaptable mindset to change directions and continue to improve the quality and inventory process
Experience in quality control with familiarity and understanding of quality management systems and ISO 9001
Can perform tasks with minimal supervision
Operate independently and make sound business decisions
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient with MS Office products and use of measuring equipment software
Good communication skills
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required, and completion of a certificate in a related field. An Associates' degree is considered an asset.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Warehouse ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon the season
Sitting down at a desk and getting up frequently to various areas in the warehouse
