Global RGM Analytics Engineering Sr Manager

Job Description

The Global RGM Analytics Engineering Sr Manager is responsible for RGM Data Lake, including all IME and RGM data sources, and RGM Analytics, leading the key functional and business decisions framework related to commercial data & applications, orchestrating the strategy and execution of the data lake construction to leverage Commercial Transformation business value. This role will work in partnership with Global and Regional RGM teams from business and DTS side to enable a single and Enterprise strategy for Data Lake and cohesive RGM analytics accross the regions. This role will also work with the busines units to remove the cultural barriers and roadblocks to implement and facilitate the data lake implementation, along with the RGM descriptive analytics and support the CDO team on deliverying RGM prescriptive Analytics. It will also have a dotted line responsibility with the CDO organization to guarantee implementation of Enterprise scale techonologies along with advance analytics capabilities, AI/ML and more importantly, implemented Data Governance processes and best practices. All Product Owners for RGM analytics and Data Lake will report also to this role.

As per complexity of the RGM and Data Lake Program (Local/Global differences, time zones, different working groups, complex data environment), this role will have to lead demands from business, DTS Product Teams and also Business Units, managing expectations, timelines and scope.

Scope/Categories

Key Interfaces: CT RGM, IME and CDO delivery and Product Teams, RGM CGO, Global CT Data And Analytics Leader, Regional DTS VPs, CDO organization, DTS Regional Sales BPs, Regional Sales Capabilities, BUs RGM and IME teams.

 The scope is Global with all KC categories for the sales and RGM/IME  functions.

Key Accountabilities


  • Responsible for product architectural direction

  • Responsible for the personnel management duties, including hiring, for technical resources

  • Determines and assigns the staffing mix of inhouse talent for all technical team members

  • Responsible for maintaining awareness of the technology and solutions in the market and providing advice regarding relevant opportunities for their use.

  • Responsible for guiding technology solutions to business requirements.

  • Responsible for setting reliability, security, usability and recoverability standards

  • Has ultimate technical and architectural accountability for platforms and products

  • Partnering with Platform Product Manager, responsible for vendor evaluation, selection and relationships through the complete product lifecycle: discovery, PI planning, development, testing, launch, delivery and withdraw.

  • Supports Platform PM in leading quarterly platform executive updates.

  • Responsible for participating in organizational change activities (such as Agile and Product Mindset) including development of change plans and monitoring of progress.

  • Contributes to the development of the build v. buy decision.

  • Leads development estimates and costs to delivery and support the product.

  • Delivery Partner management along with Budget, resource and capacity planning, on-shore/off-shore decisions and TCO reduction for delivery and deployment of RGM Analytics and Data Lake solutions

  • For requirements and backlog management, assists in the decomposition of headline level functional and non- functional user stories into detailed user stories including acceptance criteria and ensures the user stories Definition of Ready.

  • Responsible for assisting the Product Manager with the identification of technical dependencies, resource constraints, and external technology & vendor roadmaps.

  • Responsible for technology support for launch and release activities, as long as they were clearly communicated early in the release planning activities.

  • On testing, this role will be responsible for moving QA to automation testing, manage and lead SIT and cutover activities and also regression testing for changes to production.

  • Responsible for ensuring the technical resources have the tools and training required to produce quality releases.

Key Qualifications and Experiences


  • Experience in Strategical Data Projects mainly for Commercial area connected with RGM (Pricing, Gross to Net, Mix, Customer Pricing and Commercial Policy), TPM, Sales Force Automation and Retail execution

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering and Delivery of Analytics and RGM related areas (TPM for eg.)

  • Experience in leading large delivery teams and global experience with diverse teams

  • Experience on building technology products aligned with Best in Class Engineering Practices (Devops, CI/CD, Secops, etc.)

  • Agile and Scrum

  • Prefernce to have Product Management and Development knowledge

  • Budget and Resource Capacity planning

  • Ability to inspire a team to act as a small business jointly accountable for its product

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building skills conducive to collaboration at all levels

  • Strong CPG background (at industry or as consultant)

  • Must have deep knowledge of strong “customer first” approach. Implement strategies and solutions that are focused on going to where consumers are and leverage / implement technology quickly and decisively to get the job done.

  • Preference to have knowledge about Azure, Snowflake and PowerBI.

  • Must possess the skills/talent/expertise to steward the convergence of technology and sales and serve as the Commercial teams’ fiduciary for Sales Technology investments.

  • Be the face of technology for Commercial  Teams and bridge any gaps between Commercial Teams and DTS

  • Be a core member of the Leadership team for Data,  TPM and Revenue Management technologies. This requires someone who can lead and hold their own with the sales leadership, trade marketing, revenue management, sales teams, sales business partners and Regional IT leaders.

  • Understanding of and experience with Sales Technologies for CPG companies, including innovations as AI, Blockchain, Machine Learning, TPO, Predictive Analytics, Data Science, etc.

  • Experience working with CPG companies or sales technologies vendors

  • Expertise in educating sales teams on technologies

  • Exceletent relationship management skills (collaboration, facilitation, communication) and the ability to engage business team members using business and industry terms
