Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the individual to perform maintenance and repair of all company equipment.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.

  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.

  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.

  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.

  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.

  • Services equipment as necessary.

  • Lubricates and cleans parts.

  • Welds broken parts and structural members.

  • Other duties assigned per supervisor.

  • Travel to various work locations for extended periods of time.

Education/Experience


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least one year of related experience is highly preferred.

Work Requirements


  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions

  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.  

  • May be subject to drug testing, and physical agilities testing.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations


  • Must possess at minimum a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.

  • Must possess or be able to obtain valid DOT Medical Card.
