Job Description:

Wireless System Architect/Product definer

Candidate Responsibilities:

  • Product definition & specification of a new class of millimeter wave wireless interface products

    • Function as Wireless Communication System Architect - with a deep understanding of RF channel, modem and RF implementations, he/she shall analyze and specify the Wireless subsystem

    • Define wireless subsystem requirements working closely with cross functional team - Marketing, Design and Application Teams

    • Study various modulation schemes (e.g. OOK, QPSK, QAM, etc.) and perform link budgeting and channel performance  analysis

    • Study Algorithms and Architectural trade-offs



  • End to end System modeling, simulation and performance analysis including losses, interference, channel dispersion, Tx-Rx isolation, antenna radiation patterns, etc.  
    • Modeling should be based on prior knowledge of radio system designs capturing implementation effects of power amplifier, LNA, modem TX and Rx design, Equalization, baseband filters, LO/PLL  


  • Competitive Technical Analysis and Benchmarking

  • Interfacing with lead customers and partners on specification and solution space exploration

  • Create Technology roadmap based on customer feedback and market assessment

Candidate Profile:


  • 10+ years of Wireless Digital Communication System Design/System Engineering experience

  • Strong implementation knowledge of one or more wireless standards – 802.11, 4G/ 5G, BLE radio

  • Strong System level modeling experience with MATLAB/Simulink or Keysight SystemVue or similar

  • Behavioral modeling of modem and RF Front end blocks including implementation effects

  • Demonstratable experience developing radio solutions in the mobile, wearable and computing segments and taking them to high volume production

  • Demonstratable knowledge of standards driven radio design, test and certification in one or more wireless standards listed above

  • Strategic thinking to come out with proposals for new architectures and other complementary technologies

Education Qualification

• MSEE is a minimum and PhD is highly preferred with specialization in Digital communication systems
