Provider Website Agile Product Owner Sr. Advisor - Work from home at Cigna in Memphis, Tennessee

Job Description:

This is an exciting role to be in a position to drive improvements to the provider digital experience. The objective is to translate the digital roadmap into actionable business requirements for our delivery and UX teams. The approach is data-first, and highly personalized. The end product will require collaboration with other Product Owners, designers, development teams, and internal stakeholders such as sales and operations, and will result in significant value for Cigna's clients, brokers, and business stakeholders. You will own the full feature life cycle from identification, prioritization, and documentation, through development, testing, and delivery to market. Responsibilities:


  • Articulating and translating the digital strategy and Experience Owner's vision into high-quality features which would stitch together UX designs with requirements and business rules.

  • Serves as the provider proxy by understanding key business objectives and strategy of the product

  • Working closely with user experience designers, content authors, business leads, and researchers to develop world class digital experiences.

  • Ability to work toward the "big picture" amid the myriad of details, use analytics to make sound decisions, and articulate the impact to the end user with every decision

  • Responsible for defining feature-level key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Partnering with the scrum teams on a daily basis to set clear direction and expectations, articulate business requirements, remove roadblocks, and provide subject matter expertise through constant communication and collaboration with the delivery team, designers, and business stakeholders.

  • Ensuring that digital product features are accurately represented and delivered by Digital's delivery teams using typical agile methodologies, recognizing opportunities for alignment, synergy, and iteration.

  • Ensuring adequate testing of new product features and working with scrum teams to remediate any problems.

  • Understanding the use and practicality of new and emerging digital technologies and functionalities, and introduces new and relevant ideas and capabilities on a regular basis.

  • In conjunction with the Experience Owner, owns the team backlog and grooms and prioritizes existing work, including the decomposition of program/portfolio epics.

  • Aligned to scope that is complex or that may cross release trains
  • Train, support and mentor new or less experienced APO's
  • Ensure business readiness activities are planned and meet intended adoption goals

Job requirements and Keys to Success:


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience required.

  • 5+ years of relevant B2B work experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of successful (ideally) digital delivery. This includes: 1. Knowledge in modern web architectures and development, responsive web design, performance optimization, user research, and analytics. 2. Demonstration of successfully driving deliverables and completing critical projects using agile development frameworks. 3. Experience with software tracking tools, such as Rally, Jira, or Asana

  • Able to effectively collaborate with front-end development teams; demonstrating expertise in all key functional product areas, including user experience and design, web and native technologies and architectures and data analytics.

  • Familiarity with healthcare, insurance, or other regulated complex industries a plus

  • Able to work in a virtual environment as part of a virtual scrum team

  • Must be able to hit the ground running with little to no supervision as this an extremely fast paced and dynamic working environment

  • Must be able to run and facilitate sessions, drive clarity around work and raise issues to EGO (Experience Group Owner) in a timely and organized manner

  • Up to 25% travel

This role is WAH/Flex which allows most work to be performed at home. Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $100,600 - $167,600, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
