Senior Electrical Engineer:

What do you get to do in this position?

• Design of low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and associated equipment in compliance with IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and NEC/NFPA 70E standards.
• Design and coordinate electrical control and protection schemes for low and medium-voltage switchgear equipment including interfaces and interconnections for new, existing, retrofill, and/or retrofit applications.
• Design and develop engineering solutions for the custom low and medium voltage switchgear and switchboards, equipment retrofills, conducting assessments and ratings of the existing equipment.
• Manage the overall project delivery and production/installation schedule including initial quotation technical support, customer interaction and correspondence, generation of electrical Bill of Materials (BOMs), production and on-site drawing/instruction packages, factory/on-site Acceptance Test Plans (ATPs), O&M manuals, submittals/deliverables and project close-out, and final job cost analysis.
• Lead on-site installation, start-up, and commissioning of switchgear line-ups and sub-assemblies for high-demand industrial facilities (data centers, water treatment, production lines, etc.) as required.
• Support the Production and Quality Assurance teams for manufacturing excellence. Design and provide technical support of protective relaying schemes for short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Support Sales team through site visits and customer job walks.
• Travel up to 10% within U.S. to visit client sites.

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field and four years of work experience in Power systems and Power distribution.

Also must have work experience with:

(1). Designing and developing low and medium-voltage switchgear assemblies/systems and associated equipment;

(2). Coordinating complex electrical control and protection schemes;

(3). Designing differential ground fault protection systems involving multiple sources and grounds;

(4). Protective relays including Differential, Directional, and Overcurrent Synchronizing;

(5). Variable frequency drives for various applications;

(6). Protection coordination, zone interlocking and arc flash mitigation;

(7). Applicable codes and standards including ANSI C37.20.1, C37.20.2, C37.20.3, and UL508A; and (8). Managing overall project delivery and leading interaction with cross functional teams to determine optimum product/process solutions.
