This postion will be responsible for wastewater treatmennt and its operations on second shift.

What do you get to do in this position?

• Ensure proper operation of the process, system and maintenance of system as required. Maintain all equipment in proper working order per preventative maintenance schedule and machinery operating manuals.
• Constant bending over to check all nozzles for blockages on the 7-stage washer and 3 stage Post Rinses which requires climbing up and down stairs with trip/slip hazards in the washers
• Entering confined spaces to clean out tanks that are 4ft tall entering a 3-ft. square hole
• Adding 50 lb. bags of lime and Sodium Metabisulfite with lift assist which requires bending and pulling
• Changing bag filters on the Ultra Filter and Bag Filter pumps which require pulling straight up on the bags to get them out of the housing and bending over to open and close hard to reach valves (The housing for the filter is chest high)
• Cleaning the filter press in waste treatment requires reaching and bending to clean
• Cleaning the sample box requires using a large brush and reaching inside to get the box clean
• Washing T-bars which weigh 28 lbs. and requires bending and lifting simultaneously
• Adding chemicals to the paint bath with air operated diaphragm pump and adding tints. Could have to pick up a 5-gallon container of pigment. 45 lbs. with help.
• Setting up portable pump to drain tanks and wash out daily requiring the lifting and pulling of large hoses
• 5S work which includes sweeping, mopping, painting, and cleaning therefore bending to reach places that need cleaned
• Operation of SIT forklift to haul large totes and 55 gallon drums from the fire building to the automatic feed station in the main plant
• Treating waste water in the waste treatment area. Requires the operator to have to push or pull on the lift assist which rolls to change out empty acid drums
• May have to work on diaphragm pump which requires a lot of bending over or working on a pad on your knees

• Level "D" or higher Physical/Chemical Waste Treatment
• Must be proficient in math and able to obtain a "B" Physical/Chemical Waste Treatment license within 3 years

• Plate and Frame Filter Press
• E-Coat Paint system
• pH Meters
• Color Spectrophotometer, coating thickness gauge, and gloss meter.
• Cure Ovens
• Powder Coat Burn Off Ovens
• Powered Industrial Trucks (Fork Trucks)
• 55 Gallon Drum Handlers
• Tools for pump rebuilds
• Other process Equipment as identified
• Education and Experience Requirements (including licenses and certifications):
  
  
• Two Year Associate Degree
• Level "B" or higher Physical/Chemical Waste Treatment licensed by the South Carolina Environmental Certification Board in accordance with appropriate state laws .
• Valid state driver's license.
• Physical Demands:
  
  
• Must be self directed and willing to work O/T with limited to no advanced notification.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, 80 lbs team lift, repeatedly throughout the work day.
• Standing for long periods of time.
• Bending, crawling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.

Note: Relocation is not provided. Candidates within 50 miles of the plant will be considered. Schenider Electric (including Volt) experience is preferred.
