WHO YOU ARE

As the Maintenance Landscape Worker, you will ensure the facility and grounds are maintained regularly which includes operation of a floor scrubber, replenishing supplies as needed, mopping and sweeping floors in the hallways, office areas, stairwells, maintain trash cans and will act as a back-up to the facility custodian.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

In our ClosetMaid Ocala facility. A 600,000 square feet manufacturing facility.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Perform light mechanical repairs to pneumatic and hydraulic systems.


• Exhibit safe work practices.


• Set up, maintain and repair production equipment and industrial support systems.


• Check and repair all plant wiring safely.


• Electrically trouble shoot and repair plant equipment.


• Cleans, paints, and assists with building maintenance as required.


• Keep grounds orderly as directed.  Perform inspections. 


• Must be able to work overtime as business need dictates.


• Ability to work in a team environment & maintain regular attendance.

Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.

 Safety Responsibilities

• Know/follow Communicative Safety Guidelines.


• Play active role in all Housekeeping/Safety activities


• Be positive model.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma/GED or 2-3 years of Experience


• Must be familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)


• Ability to work in a team environment, manage projects and root cause analysis.


• Ability to maintain regular attendance.


• Must be able to work overtime as business need dictates.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand on concrete floor with/without floor mats; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms (which may include above and/or below shoulders); bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to use left and/or right hand for simple grasping; fine work, pushing/pulling and low speed assembly. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and vibration.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
