Job Profile
As part of the Enterprise Technology & Security Business Partners group, the Technology Engineer position will be responsible for producing software and infrastructure logical application designs that will be utilized to create technology solutions within the PNC Enterprise. Job responsibilities include the following:
• Partner with application teams/architects to understand the proposed technology solution to be utilized, and potential integration points with other PNC applications
• Understand business requirements in terms of Service Level Agreements, estimated number of concurrent/total users, application availability/business continuity requirements.
• Compare proposed solution against current PNC Enterprise Architecture Technology and Security standards and gain approval of proposed solution.
• Produce logical architecture solution designs to be utilized for technology delivery.
Candidate Requirements:
• Experience in designing core IT solutions and technologies at multiple levels (Infrastructure, Data, Application tiers)
• Ability to interpret Enterprise Architecture and Cyber Security standards/design patterns and how these frameworks would apply to an application/technology solution.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance multiple projects assignments and deadlines.
Preferred technology background/experience:
• Data Platforms (Oracle, SQL, Hadoop, MySQL, MongoDB, SAS)
• Integration Platforms (Kafka/Confluent, Informatica)
• Operating Systems (Red Hat, Windows) using VMware
• Container Platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes)
• Converged Infrastructure
• ARIS Business Process Modelling tool
