The assistant to the Native Nations Center Imprint Coordinator will be responsible for clerical duties in the office including collecting data, sorting, filing, and sending out project files to personnel. Will be responsible for organization, research, development of activities and collaborations with Tribal communities, Indigenous scholars, faculty, and students.
Job Duties:
Carry out clerical duties by collecting data, sorting, filing, and sending out project files to the right personnel, workers, and stakeholders.
Scheduling meetings, presentations, seminars, submissions, and trainings being organized by the Native Nations Center Imprint.
Research, develop, maintain, and document records around Native Nations Center Imprint activities and collaborations:Working directly with Tribal communities, departmental partners, Indigenous scholars, faculty, students, and staff on issues relevant to scholarship, academic progress, educational leadership programming, and engagement for the NNC Imprint,
Serving as a record keeper during meetings and events, documenting the impact of the Native Nations Center Imprint and grant contributions for reports and accountability,
Keeping records of all project items, while also ensuring that they are adequately delivered to the various departments as directed by the NNC Imprint supervisor.
Organize and facilitate research, projects, programming, collaborations, and events for Native Nations Center Imprint while also fostering respect and supporting productive relationships between Oklahoma Tribes, researchers, students, affiliates, the University, and all community stakeholders.
Required Education: GED/High School Grad or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:
6 -12 months clerical experience
Skills:
Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong initiative to solve problems
General office skills such as multi-line phone, copying, filing, faxing, and mail
Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
Advertised Physical Requirements:
Must be able to engage in repetitive motions and communicate effectively. Must be able to Lift (25 lbs), see including color, depth perception and clarity, sit and reach.
Departmental Preferences:
Excellent telephone etiquette and the ability to handle large volume of phone calls
Strong organizational sills and ability to multitask
Excellent university knowledge to route calls and visitors to proper areas
Knowledge of Peoplesoft, Crimson Corner, Concur, and other university service programs
Excellent customer service skills
