You Will Be Responsible For:
Reporting to the Portfolio Management Manager, the Portfolio Management Analyst II (The Analyst) is responsible for the use, implementation, and refinement of tools and processes to track the overall coordination, execution, and completion of projects ensuring consistency with the strategy, commitments and goals of the AdventHealth Research Institute. The Analyst collects and reviews both operational and financial data sets with the goal of ensuring effective and efficient use of resources that supports the financial and strategic business objectives and priorities. The Analyst serves as a liaison between Research Services, financial, and operational teams, tracking project tasks and resource requirements, monitoring and reporting on the progress of projects. The Analyst facilitates training of colleagues on portfolio management tools and contributes to process improvement activities. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Associates degree in medical, scientific, healthcare, finance, business administration or related field with minimum five years of work-related experience managing projects
OR Bachelor’s degree in medical, scientific, healthcare, finance, business administration or related field with minimum two years of work-related experience managing projects
Experience managing projects with multiple resources assigned and project durations of at least one year
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Experience in Portfolio & Program Management (PPM), Finance and Operational Analytics
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
PMI (CAPM or PMP) Certification or Equivalent Project Management Certificate
Certification in research administration, ACRP, SOCRA or other related credentials
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Specialized knowledge of the unique needs of clinical research studies and trials
Job Summary:
Refines systems and tools to track and review key performance indicators (KPI) critical for maintenance of the portfolio. Responsible for weekly auditing of portfolio management tools for quality of data ensuring portfolio projects are categorized and assigned correctly. Maintains records of historical KPI. Analyzes when metrics are not met and provides recommendations for realignment.
Responsible for collaborating with AHRI managers on project management activities including study intake, study execution, and status reporting. Develops customized project portfolio reports and presentations that depicts the health and direction of the portfolio. Presents and shares analyzed portfolio information in regular and quarterly portfolio meetings.
Collaborates with Research Services, Clinical Operations and Research Finance teams to support the business financial objectives, including obtaining and reviewing study information to improve the accuracy and timeliness of study-related accruals and yearly department budgeting.
Collaborates with Clinical Operations Managers and Physician Scientists to develop project level forecasting of resources. Proactively identifies and reports on anticipated resourcing gaps along with proposed mitigation strategies. Responsible for reporting of Physician Scientist’s research participation, execution of projects, and financials.
Facilitates tracking of funds in the AdventHealth Foundation, supporting the appropriate use of funds per donor intent and the invoicing process in conjunction with Research Finance.
Facilitates in the improvement of standardized processes for when and how to review the portfolio of projects. Analyzes and evaluates metrics to create predictable project execution.
Provides tailored training for interdisciplinary colleagues on portfolio management tools, standards, and best practices.
