We are looking for an Intern to support our Avionics in electrical design at our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area.

General Responsibilities


  • Assist in the preparation and verification of new installation documentation

  • Assist in the generation of certification ground and bench test plans

  • Assist in creation of certification test reports and other compliance data for submissions to the FAA

  • Accept and complete projects and other miscellaneous aircraft engineering duties as assigned

Aircraft System Electrical Intern Responsibilities


  • Assist in electrical installation of Garmin integrated avionics system.

  • Assist in the development of wiring diagrams, wire harness drawings, or other technical data needed to define the electrical aspects of the installation or to support other STC projects

  • Assist installation technicians in troubleshooting installation wiring interconnects

 

Qualified applicants have completed coursework in a core technical discipline such as electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or computer engineering; or sufficient relevant experience


  • Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)

  • Must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office products

  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment

  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
