Job Title: Regional Vice President


Locations:  Chicago, IL

Utilizing local offices with non-commissioned sales representatives, they offer a wide variety of retirement savings plans and services, including 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) deferred compensation plans.  Mutual of America also provides investment vehicles to individuals for their retirement and other long-term financial needs.


Division: Marketing / Sales


Mutual of America has 33 Regional Offices and several Branch Offices located across the continental United States, (in addition to our New York City Headquarters and our Boca Raton, Florida location). As Regional Vice President you will oversee the day-to-day operations and sales activity for the office.


Responsibilities:



  1. Implement sales campaigns to meet regional marketing objectives

  2. Train and develop regional office staff in products, market development, sales, and contact manager system (CMS)

  3. Provide staff performance evaluations and development plans

  4. Oversee operations, personnel, compliance related issues and budget for the region

Required Qualifications:



  1. Five or more years of outside business-to-business sales experience with proven proficiency in selling, presentation skills, prospecting, and territory management

  2. Highly motivated and very organized

  3. Ability to effectively communicate

  4. Strong relationship building and territory management skills

  5. Active FINRA Series 6, 63 and SIE or must obtain within the first 90 days of employment

  6. Active State Life and Health Insurance License (in all states covered) required or obtained within 90 days of employment

  7. Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications:



  1. Bachelor’s degree preferred

  2. Demonstrated cold calling sales ability, with assertive, positive, and persistent style

  3. Knowledge of products underwritten by the company (401k and 403b retirement plans)
