Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:
Duties include grounds keeping, painting, small plumbing repairs, routine repairs of hospital equipment, cleaning windows, helping out custodians as needed and other assigned duties.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, as well as sharps, hazardous materials, and other conditions common to the operation of a physical plant and health care facility.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Frequent full range of body motion in handling and lifting supplies and equipment, along with bending, stooping, and stretching in the performance of the maintenance and installation of equipment. Manual and finger dexterity along with eye-hand coordination is needed in said work. Requires lifting and ordering supplies and inventories. Requires vision and hearing to normal range in the communication with the staff and with site and equipment inspections. Requires working under stressful conditions and some irregular hours in providing for the hospital environment. Must be able to distinguish colors, letters, and symbols.
