Accounting Manager - Candidate will report to the Business Unit Controller and manage/coordinate the daily accounting functions of the business. This includes mentoring AP and AR staff, responsible for Financial Closing, Financial Reporting, Financial Analysis, and ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and internal controls. This individual executes a variety of tasks to manage and coordinate the effectiveness and efficiency of the accounting function.

• Develop business relationships with functional leadership team and act as Finance/Accounting Partner
• Drive monthly financial close process ensuring accurate financial results and requirements are complete within corporate timelines
• Maintain the closing of financial systems including

o Maintenance of General Ledger accounts
o Preparation of applicable journal entries
o Review of General Ledger account reconciliations

• Capital/Fixed Assets - Responsible for coordinating capital requisitions and maintaining Fixed Assets in FAS System. This includes posting necessary entries for monthly depreciation, additions, and disposals to G/L. Complete annual fixed asset physical inventory.
• Responsible for maintaining leases in KLT lease accounting software including adding new leases, running month end reports & posting appropriate journal entry. Assist Plant Controller in an annual review of new & existing vendor contracts to determine if it qualifies as a lease under the new ASC 842 guidelines.
• Upload monthly financial information to the Corporate HFM system and reconcile Trial Balances to the consolidated reports
• Evaluate accounting policies and procedural control systems and work to improve effectiveness and compliance. This includes monthly SOX testing and upkeep of required documentation in the Corporate SOX database
• Coordinate the collection of all pertinent information required by the Corporate Tax Department
• Continuously seek ways to improve the departments efficiency
• Manage AP and AR functions and ensure DSO and DPO targets are met

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. MBA/Masters in Accounting or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years' accounting experience; experience within a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of Excel including Pivot and V-Lookups. PowerBI experienced preferred.
• Manufacturing ERP Experience. ERP migration experience is preferred
• Strong organization skills, ability to multitask, and commitment to efficiency, timeliness, quality, accuracy (attention to detail), and confidentiality
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently, with minimal direction, and with solid follow-through
• Great communication skills, with ability to collaborate across departments
