We are seeking a full-time Human Resources Manager – Associate Relations for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of generalists focused on retaining Garmin associates and/or managing associate relations for designated areas.
Essential Functions
Analyze metrics and work with HR Leadership to generate strategic and creative plans for evaluating and generating necessary company policies, procedures and programs
Interview, hire, train, supervise and evaluate team members and set the tone for the team environment and build healthy team relationships
Analyze HR related costs and work closely with executive and HR management team to evaluate, update, and/or generate more efficient and cost-effective company policies, procedures, programs, and/or training solutions
Work closely with legal counsel to ensure legal requirements are met in associate relations functions
Train team members and participate in the review and feedback to managers of associate performance evaluations for designated areas
Serve as a company representative within community organizations and industry events
Confer with managers and supervisors to guide and coach on employee relations matters and company policies and procedures
Provide guidance and training to HR Generalists in administering the corrective action process, managing unemployment claims, and other associate relations activities
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or related field AND a minimum of 5 years Human Resources experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of associate relations experience
3+ years of previous leadership experience within Human Resources
Must have proven experience dealing with confidential Human Resources matters
Proficient computer skills in Word and Excel
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be positive, flexible, detail oriented, organized, team oriented and a driven problem solver, multi-tasker, and self-starter with the ability to prioritize and lead in a fast-paced environment
Excellent presentation skills and public speaking experience
Desired Qualifications
Experience creating and conducting training presentations
