Summary of Position: This is a fantastic role for anyone who has a passion for helping students and has a drive to succeed. The Outreach Specialist, Professional Programs is The Princeton Review's definitive brand ambassador for test preparation programs aimed at individuals seeking professional licensure to become registered nurses, doctors, and certified financial analysts. As one of the fastest growing areas for the company, the role will grow as programs are built for other pre-licensure exams. In this B2B2C role, Outreach Specialists find dynamic ways to partner with schools, student groups, companies, influencers, and other organizations in order to engage potential Princeton Review students and educate them on the benefits of our best-in-class test preparation programs! Outreach Specialists plan and execute compelling events that engage test-takers to drive enrollment in Princeton Review programs to ensure that more students pursue their dream careers. This is a great role for an RN or CFA looking for a change of pace.

The territory for this role will be the Eastern United States. This is a mostly work-from-anywhere role, though preference will be given to candidates near major feeder programs. Some travel required for presentations and meetings.

Major Responsibilities:


  1. Serve as primary point of contact for partner schools and organizations and provide outstanding client service while promoting the brand and increasing enrollment in test preparation programs, with a primary focus on NCLEX and CFA exams to start.

  2. Drive lead count and bookings growth through aggressive outreach, diligent follow-up, and creative application of proven strategies.

  3. Conduct informational and sales presentations with colleges, universities, companies, and other organizations.

  4. Plan and manage all promotional and operational aspects of running Princeton Review marketing events; prospect and participate in non-Princeton Review events to attract students.

  5. Build and nurture relationships with key administrators, counselors, advisors, faculty, and student organizations to increase Princeton Review's brand recognition and attendance at events.

  6. Provide great advice, support, and follow-up to prospective students to ensure that they choose The Princeton Review for their test preparation needs.

  7. Regularly review lead and bookings data to understand sales trends, identify gaps in outreach, and assist in developing strategies and tactics to respond to market dynamics and competitor activity.

  8. Communicate and apply company-wide strategy, initiatives, and programs.

  9. Support other initiatives and assist in the delivery of excellent student service.

  10. Track activity in a complete and timely manner using various systems, including salesforce.com.

  11. Other duties as assigned. 

Background, Experience & Qualifications:


  1. Bachelor's Degree

  2. At least one year of professional experience in sales, client/customer relationship building, and/or event promotion. This experience can include part-time positions or internships

  3. Enthusiastic, confident and optimistic demeanor with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  4. A passion for presenting to large groups

  5. No qualms starting conversations with people you don’t know

  6. A highly competitive nature with a desire to set and beat goals

  7. Ability to manage your own time and work remotely from your manager, teammates, and clients

  8. Ability to travel

  9. An ethic of personal responsibility; a need to hold yourself accountable on behalf of a team

  10. A willingness to travel throughout the area

  11. Modern tech fluency, including the ability to manage your responsibilities using a smartphone and laptop, use various communication platforms, and leverage MS Office

  12. Experience with salesforce.com a plus

  13. Experience in test preparation, academic support, or admissions a plus

  14. Experience working with individuals preparing for nursing or financial services careers a plus

Pay: $xx,xxx - $xx,xxx per year based on a 40 hour work week
