Claims Junior Data Analyst - CAP at Chubb in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey

Job Description:

Claims Business Intelligence team is looking for those who are interested in a career that helps people make decisions with the power of data. The Claims Junior Data Analyst will support data analysis, data quality improvement, user acceptance testing of claims data projects, and ad-hoc reporting. This position will report to AVP, Claims Data Analysis and Reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Understand multiple claim systems and claim databases, and how they are related


• Understand claim operation and metric, and how they are related to data


• Complete ad-hoc reporting for various strategic projects


• Provide data analysis and data mapping for critical attributes to reporting and analysis


• Provide user acceptance testing for data quality fix, claims data lake enhancement and expansion


• Validate data quality, and make recommendations on audit, balance, control routines


• Develop and maintain clear and succinct documentation 

• Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.


• Strong GPA of 3.3 or higher preferred


• Analytical, logical and curious in nature


• Prior work experience (including summer or part time roles) or internship in similar fields preferred


• Experience in MS Office, strong Excel skill desired


• Experience in programming language such as SQL desired


• Exposure to data visualization tools is a plus, e.g. PowerBI, QlikSense, Tableau


• Excellent verbal and written communication


• Attention to detail and organization skills
