Job Summary:

We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivating individual to be responsible for a variety of tasks including supporting the monthly and quarterly reporting of the CooperVision International Limited (CVIL) and CooperVision consolidated financial results. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day month end close responsibilities, which may include but not be limited to: preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, data upload for consolidated reporting, investigation of variance analyses, and participation in internal and external financial audits.  They will perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by manager that would help the team on an as-needed basis and will be responsible for managing resources efficiently as well as continuing to support various global projects and initiatives.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Assists with monthly financial close requirements for the intangible holding company (CVIL) that includes journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reporting

  • Assists with monthly reconciliations

  • Work to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies and procedures

  • HFM uploads and submission of schedules

  • Support the IHCo accounting team in any additional projects or assignments as necessary

  • Assist with implementing process improvement initiatives and special projects that deliver sustainable improvements

Travel Requirements:

Expectation of less than 3 weeks of travel per year.  

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP

  • Advanced level proficiency with Excel; VBA Macros a plus or willingness to learn

  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels within the organization

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Self-motivated

  • Detail oriented

  • Able to work well in team environment

Work Environment:


  • Currently hybrid working environment; a mix of work in a professional office environment and working remotely.

  • Prolonged sitting in front of a computer

Experience:


  • 3-5 years of experience in an accounting role

Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • CPA or CMA license is a plus
