Overview
Boise Cascade in Chester, SC is seeking Plywood Production Operator Trainees. This is a non-climate controlled mill, meaning temperatures can be very high in the summer and cold in the winter. Production Trainees are utilized in a general laborer capacity with opportunities for advancement.

As a Production Associate, you will support machine operators and learn how to run the green end, dryer, layup and saw lines. If you thrive on working in a team environment with ongoing learning opportunities, this is the job for you!
THIS POSITION WILL LIKELY BE FOR THE EVENING OR NIGHT SHIFT FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME. Starting pay for this position is $15.10 per hour.
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
Using blowers, shovels, and pitch forks to clean up debris in and around machines to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
Acting as a relief operator to cover other employees' breaks and vacations
Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures while proactively seeking out potential safety hazards
Assisting team members throughout the plant as needed during the production of plywood and veneer

Responsibilities
Responsible for upkeep and cleaning of general assigned area, providing breaks (break-out) of other employees, moving heavy objects, cleaning equipment and/or machinery, and loading or unloading of material.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications : High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.
Preferred Qualifications : Experience in a fast-paced production environment is a plus.
