AH Seihan Planning Department leads the North American sales and production planning organization that spans across AHM/US, CH/Canada, Export/Global and HDM/Mexico. This department is responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual planning of sales, wholesales, production, and inventory for American Honda while collaborating with other sales divisions (internally and externally) and manufacturing to achieve the company’s targets. Planning information is stored in a confidential document called the Ki Plan which is the responsibility of this department to maintain.

The Seihan Planning Analyst's main responsibility is to fully support the Seihan Planning Manager and Assistant Manager on all related activities in the monthly and annual planning for sales, wholesales, production, inventory and capacity management. This includes helping with gap analysis on sales results vs plan, making recommendations to optimize inventory levels, creating sales and inventory reports with added analysis, and helping maintain the Ki Plan.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper sales mix and inventory balance for the fiscal year.


• Execution on month-end sales and inventory reports with added analysis.


• Perform gap analysis on sales results vs. plan by model.


• Analyze industry and segment trends and understanding competitive landscape.


• Support the monthly presentation development to executives by providing analysis on sales results, market share, incentives, etc.

We are looking for qualified people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. To bring the future to Honda as a Seihan Planning Analyst, you must have: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar degrees. MBA is a plus.


• 3-5 years of experience with any of the following: Supply Chain Management, Sales Planning, Product Planning, Allocation, Forecasting and/or Ordering.


• 3-5 years of experience in a business environment requiring strong analytical, communication, people, organization skills and experience in managing large/complex projects is a plus.


• Adequate Excel and PowerPoint skills


• Strong communication skills


• Knowledge of APS, APEX, SAP Business Objects, CICS, and RDO Application is a plus.
