Job Description:

The Senior Analyst, Manufacturing Site Programmer is responsible for programming PLCs & Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). Programming will include both project work and plant work intended to eradicate losses, build new capabilities and/or implement new technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

You will report directly to the Site Engineering Manager and are primarily accountable for:

  • Providing process control system programming and assist in control system design for all computer-controlled machinery and processes in the manufacturing plants and for new Capital Projects

  • Providing support to the manufacturing plants to improve safety, manufacturing efficiencies, product quality, resin yield, equipment reliability and product cost

  • Investigating, driving, and assisting on projects involving cost saving, process optimization, productivity improvements and replacing obsolete equipment related to existing processes utilizing common problem solving methodologies and engineering work processes

  • Estimating and analyzing the costs and benefits of various options and presenting them in a concise manner

  • Troubleshooting operational problems in the production plants as they relate to process control issues and field hardware

Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:


  • Associate's degree with 3+ years of experience in PLC programming with Allen Bradley PLC5 and ControlLogix platforms and manufacturing support in a high-speed manufacturing environment

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:


  • Experience with plastic extrusion, film making, web handling

  • Experience with drives and control system design

  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities which fosters group commitments to goals and objectives.

  • Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, 4M, 5-Why, Kaizens, PDCA, Engineering Work Processes)

  • Innovation - Displays original thinking, creativity and resourcefulness which generate innovative approaches and ideas.

  • Interpersonal Skills - Ability to builds constructive and collaborative relationships to drive results through others.

  • Experience in Information Technology and Operational Technology, including cyber security within manufacturing environment

  • MS Office Applications

  • SAP, Microsoft Project

  • Knowledge of WonderWare or other HMI programming software

Job Requirements:


  • Full time with operational support outside core business hours as needed to support the 24x7 Manufacturing environment

  • This position is not eligible for remote work
