TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Regional Director - Human Resources in Boston, MA

The Director, Human Resources will act as a strategic HR business partner to regional leadership team to direct and oversee the HR plans that support the overall region business strategy. The role will execute on HR business process in the areas of human capital management, succession planning, training, recruiting, employee relations, labor compliance, organizational change, workforce diversity, early talent programs, performance management, and talent development in accordance with the guidelines established by global and North America Human Resources functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes; integrate people into the full scope of business operations evaluating how the impact of human capital benefits the overall organization

  • Forecasting and planning the region's talent pipeline requirements in line with the business strategy in collaboration with Region Leadership

  • Execute region talent strategies for high-potential development, succession planning, collaborating with Corporate Talent on systems and process for Career Profiles and Planning.

  • Act as HR expert for region in all people-related areas such as recruitment, talent management, performance management, compensation systems, organizational development, employee training, labor law compliance, and employee relations

  • Leads and executes early talent program strategies in alignment with short and long term talent needs. Leads discussions with leadership and sponsors for alignment and input on campus recruiting, selecting talent, orientation, program completion and program placement.

  • Lead resolution to broad spectrum of employee relations issues including investigations, local and global reporting, and legal alignment. Presentation and review findings and/or recommendations with appropriate leaders and ownership of follow up actions.

  • Develop regional compensation strategies to address salary offers, internal equity concerns, promotions, transfers, and other actions with collaboration of Corporate Compensation and HR Support team.

  • Analyze and act on HR KPIs including turnover reporting, headcount management and forecasting

  • Creates, implements, and supports competitive attraction and retention strategies in partnership with the Talent Acquisition and Management Development teams.

  • Work closely with Corporate HR Centers of Excellence to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives and programs aimed at increasing the overall success of entire US Field organization, including process improvement and focus on efficiency of HR Operations

  • Be a change advocate to influence the design and delivery of HR programs and initiatives per Corporate guidelines

  • Coach and train leaders on talent and performance management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions

  • Act on initiatives for diversity, including analysis of affirmative action data with action plans, support all federal and state reporting

  • Visits regional, branch and district offices to perform human resources audits, pulse checks with employees and management, career counseling, and training.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Who we are looking for


  • Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in human resources with a strong recruiting, performance management, and employee relations background, driving HR processes across distributed structures.

  • Strong HR Generalist background with core competencies in the areas of workplace investigations, workforce planning, employee relations, talent development, organizational change, labor relations, and performance management.

  • A four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary institution in a related field of study.

  • Possess strong business acumen with the ability to serve as a key member of the HR Field Region team

  • Able to work in a matrix environment to influence and drive HR best practices across operations and varying organizational levels

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Strong knowledge of all local, state and federal labor laws

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to travel to internal client sites as needed

  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Teams, HRIS systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • MBA or MS in HR or related field a plus, but not required

  • PHR/SPHR certification strongly desired
