Technical Service Rep. at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Kendallville, Indiana

Job Description:

As a Technical Service Representative , you will support painting operations used at an Automotive Tier I supplier Creative Liquid Coatings customer plant in Kendallville, IN. You will work directly with a team at improving the performance of PPG products and the Customer's paint application and quality output. This role effectively connects with all levels, in both the PPG and customer organizations. Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple customer sites while collaborating with customers at various levels to ensure quality and expectations is meeting customer requirements.
• With your understanding of color evaluation and color adjustments, you independently work to be able to trouble-shoot and make decisions.
• Strong digital literacy, analytical abilities, and attention to detail to complete reports and handle data
• Develop close working relationships with PPG laboratory development personnel, technical service personnel, engineering/color contacts, and customer personnel to ensure a team service approach and improved sales position. Provide timely resolution to customer inquiries on line operation and field problems; provide on-site, hands on support at customer facility.
• Advise the implementation of new and/or innovative methods of product support within customer facilities.
• Assist in technical presentations, Product line trials and vital post trial documentation and communications. Work with the team to train and support personnel on New Product Technologies, ensuring all are involved at appropriate stages for planned new product launches.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 3-4 years of experience in paints/coatings development, or paint robotics or mix room.
• Must have the ability to continually work in customer production environment, around automated equipment, and be able lift ~50 lbs on a limited basis.
